What are the age groups for the camp?
Our camp is designed for children ages 7-13.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
We maintain a small group size with a 6:1 camper-to-counselor ratio, ensuring personalized attention for each child.

What types of activities will my child participate in?
Your child will enjoy a variety of activities, including museum visits, spray grounds, nature walks, and trips to the zoo. Each activity is designed to be both fun and educational, taking full advantage of DC's rich resources.

How do you ensure safety during outdoor activities?
Safety is our top priority. All activities are supervised by experienced counselors, and we follow strict safety protocols.

Where is the camp located?
We serve families in Ward 3, Cathedral Heights, and surrounding neighborhoods such as Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, and Tenleytown.
Each morning, we meet at Macomb Recreation Center at 3409 Macomb St NW, Washington, DC 20016, at 8 AM before heading out on our daily adventures.
Pick-up is at 3 PM, and also at Macomb Recreation Center.

What should my child bring to camp each day?
Your child should bring a packed lunch, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and any necessary medications. A detailed packing list will be provided in your welcome email.

What is your sunscreen and bug spray policy?
Parents must apply sunscreen to their children before camp each day. Additionally, please pack sunscreen and bug spray for your child to use and reapply throughout the day. If you would like a camp counselor to assist with reapplication, please sign the provided waiver.

What should my child wear to camp?
Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities and closed-toe shoes. Please avoid sending your child in flip-flops or sandals.

What happens in case of inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, we have a variety of indoor activities planned. We will ensure that the children are safe and continue to have a fun and educational experience.

Do you provide snacks?
We ask that parents provide a packed lunch and any snacks their child may need for the day. We will have water available for refilling water bottles.

What should I do if my child misses the drop-off time?
The drop-off window is 8:00 AM to 8:20 AM.
If your child misses the drop-off time, please CALL US immediately. We will provide you with the current location of your child's group, and it will be the caretaker's responsibility to meet us at that location.

Do campers need to wear specific clothing?
Yes, campers must wear camp t-shirts each day they attend camp for visibility and safety, as we are always on field trips. If you would like additional shirts, please let us know. If your child comes to camp without a shirt, we will need to issue a new shirt to the camper for the day. Please note that there is a fee for additional t-shirts.

What is your refund policy?
Our refund policy is deigned to be fair and transparent:
° Full refund if canceled 30 days before the session start date.
° 50% refund if canceled 15-29 days before the session start date.
° No refund if canceled less than 15 days before the session start date.
